New #scripts are recognised

For the ISO 15924 the codes for the representation of names of scripts, scripts have been recognised and added to this registry.

Given that these scripts are now recognised as existing in this standard, it is interesting to learn what this means for the support of the characters of these scripts in  Unicode. I expect that this is just the next step that needs to be taken in order to get the languages these scripts are used by ready for the modern world ie usable in text processors and usable on the Internet.
Thanks,
