The FLICKR effect for GLAMS

Spaarnestad and the Nationaal Archief uploaded some 800 pictures to Flickr. In the newsletter of the DEN there is a link to the evaluation report (PDF in Dutch). This is a summary in English.

The report is interesting because it identifies many of the things that are important to GLAM when they make their material available on the Web.

• having people see their material 
• having them add annotations. 

When they partner with the WMF, they will gain two additional things; we are happy to host their complete annotations and, we will use their material as illustrations in our Wikipedias.Thanks,
