#BrooklynMuseum finds its way to work with #Wikimedia

Wonderful breaking news; the Brooklyn Museum is the latest museum to share much of its collection with us at Commons. A start has been made with the upload of the files, the progress of the BrooklynMuseumBot is there for you to follow.

Pair Statue of Nebsen and Nebet-ta, on view in the Egyptian Galleries. (object of the month)

The novelty in this new project is that the content is shared both at Commons and at the Internet Archive. As a consequence of different licensing requirements, the IA will get material that is available under a non-commercial license.

I hope that this wonderful news will set the tone at the Denver conference. Congratulations to everyone who made this possible.
Thanks,
