Oldest building in #Almere is an #American diner

The first buildings of Almere, a town with 188.335 inhabitants, were finished and delivered in November 1976. It follows that the oldest building must be 34 years old.

Not any more; an American “Silk City Diner” build by the Paterson Vehicle Company in 1939. Diners are a novelty in Europe and, to experience the Gateway Diner, you have to go this spring to the Beatrixpark in Almere.
Thanks,
